![]() Clocker himself aided Hot Shot's emotional recovery by reminding him of the good he had done in coming to Speed Planet, and telling him that he considered the Autobot a hero for his noble deeds. Little did he know that Landmine was simply trying to break Hot Shot out of an emotional funk he had fallen into. When Landmine started berating Hot Shot for making a mess of his mission, Clocker was quick to defend his friend. Clocker watched after Hot Shot and helped Red Alert with his repairs. After Hot Shot's collapse, Clocker met his teammates, the newly arrived Optimus Prime, Vector Prime, and Landmine. Time Despite Clocker's help, Hot Shot pushed himself too far in preparing himself for the Planet Cup. ![]() He was about to crash into the wall when Clocker used his Cyber Key Power to blast the wall open to save him. Due to his increased speed, Hot Shot sped out of control. Clocker warned Hot Shot not to go too fast, which was advice unheeded. Later Clocker helped Hot Shot ready himself for another race and watched as Hot Shot tested out his speed. Speedĭidn't I see you stuffed in a bubble at Walmart? He announced the race's start and then went to watch it from the sidelines. Rush He later helped Hot Shot get ready for his race against Override. Clocker watched on the sidelines as Hot Shot and the evil Megatron raced with Override for information on the key and its connection to the Planet Cup Override possessed as champion of Speed Planet. If anyone on Velocitron knew something about a prize like the Cyber Planet Key, he informed them, it would be her. Atop Mount Stargaze, he pointed out the track where the planet's champion racer, Override, liked to hang out. Hearing about their search for the Cyber Planet Key, he took them on a little tour of the planet at Brakedown's request. Clocker attempted to invite Hot Shot and Red Alert back to his home in gratitude for rescuing them, but overheard the Autobots saying they were from another planet. Space Afterwards he worried about Brakedown's condition until Red Alert provided his medical skills to salve the old racer's wounds. He was knocked over but eventually saved by Hot Shot. It also introduced the concept of the Legends of Cybertron Class (later called just Legends class): small, simplified versions of the main characters sold at a $5 price point.Ĭybertron ended in 2006, leaving the door open for the upcoming Movie franchise, and sprinkling many subsequent series with hordes of redecoed Cybertron molds.While being troubled by Ransack and Crumplezone, Clocker tried to protect the much older Brakedown. Like many contemporary series, Cybertron included redecoes of almost every new mold it introduced. Other than this, Cybertron contained a series of redecoed Armada Mini-Cons sold in “versus”-style two-packs. Toward the end of the series, two less-defined planets were introduced: Planet X, comprised of Unicron’s minions, and Cybertron Planet, a mishmash of fictional designs.ĭespite this rigid structure, several retooled toys from Armada found their way into Cybertron, often with their Mini-Con action features altered to activate with the Cyber Keys instead. ![]() Each of the six planets in the fiction had a corresponding key type, and its inhabitants generally fit an certain design ethic: Earth Planet featured a number of realistically-inspired cars and jets, recognizable by some real-life analogue Speed Planet inhabitants were all exotic science-fiction racers with translucent plastic wheels Jungle Planet characters were robotic beasts looking somewhat like the Beast Machines Maximals the few Giant Planet toys were meant to look like huge construction equipment and included “helper” Mini-Cons for tasks the main character was too large to complete. The design of the key also alluded to which planet the character came from. The codes were uniquely assigned to each character and toy, with the first letter of the code corresponding to the figure’s size class: S for Scout (or Supreme) class toys, D for Deluxe class, V for Voyager, U for Ultra, and L for Leader class toys. On the back of each key, there was a tampographed four-letter alphanumeric code, which could be entered on the official Transformers website to unlock background information or pictures about the corresponding character. ![]() Each toy came with a translucent plastic “key”, which could be inserted into the figure to activate some spring-loaded special weapon or feature. In this case, the feature was the Cyber Planet key. Beginning in 2005, the series came full circle within the Trilogy by abandoning the variety of themes and features in Energon by returning to one series-wide gimmick, like Armada.
